Children's Worship - "Be Lifted Up"

  Riverside Vineyard in West London is one of several Vineyard churches in the London area. This album's producer, acoustic guitarist (and tin-whistle player!) Brian Duane in fact co-wrote 'Who is like our God' for that classic live worship venture "Come Now Is The Time". The 12 praise and worship songs here presented were specially written for and sung by children, and they comprise a diverse and very contemporary collection. All are new songs, mainly written by Lynn West or Esther McBurney who are also included as 'adult' vocalists. Some like 'It's alright' and 'Jesus is the Rock' have a strong upbeat pop sound (with good guitar intro's); 'Liberation' has a funky groove and 'Walking with Jesus' has an offbeat Caribbean lilt!. Several others are gentle and very encouraging, such as 'Child of God' which seeks to speak God's peace and love into tender hearts, and the title-track 'Be lifted up' which is a pure worship expression passionately sung.
  The tunes on this 36-minute collection are catchy but not corny. A treat for any young worshipper .
