"Wait"
God Sessions is much more than a band - it's a dynamic team of musicians, worship leaders, engineers, dancers and intercessors who come together to
help people 'express themselves in worship to God with passion and in a way that (is) relevant to the culture in which they live'. Having built a strong reputation in their native South Africa via local worship events,
teaching seminars and their enterprising debut album, they are also receiving increased acclaim internationally. With a fresh batch of songs written by lead singer / guitarist Alan Frow, "Wait" contains much of interest. Many tracks carry an energetic guitar-driven punch without
that hard rock edge - several of these (e.g. 'Unveil', 'Shake the mountains') contain potent anthem choruses. Other cuts, like 'Our cry' and the acoustic 'Kiss me', are intense, personal and deeply
worshipful. 'Every knee' stands out because of it's soulful flow - and it's sensitive male / female vocal structure. John Ellis from Tree - another worthy S. African combo - contributes on a couple of
tracks; as does Chris Falson, who's production work gives the album a first-rate, truly professional sound. All in all this is a hot disc, infused with spiritual passion and musical ability. If you enjoy the
contemporary worship styles of bands such as UK's Yfriday or Delirious? then you won't want to "Wait" too long for this!
