That Paul Baloche is a worship leader of international reputate becomes quite clear when you consider the songwriting
partnerships on this collection of new songs - recorded live from Paul's home church in Lindale, Texas. Of the twelve songs served, three were co-written with South-African and ex-Vineyard UK, Brenton Brown; two with
each of stalwarts Graham Kendrick and Matt Redman, perhaps the two best known of all British worship leaders; one with US compatriot Don Moen, and another penned and sung with Ms Sara Groves! On top of all this,
Northern Irish musician Kathryn Scott provides excellent vocal solo contributions to several tracks. With this calibre of teamwork, along with an accomplished and energetic band (plus choir), you'd expect a recording of
high quality - and that's just what we get. There's a number of powerful worship anthems, often with a simple hook chorus that gets well repeated, as Paul allows the worship to build to a suitable climax. In addition
there are the more gentler tunes, such as 'Your Name' and 'Here and Now'
- beautiful songs of adoration. Some of these, too, become extended - thus many tracks continue well over the standard 3 minutes, and total play-time is practically an hour. In summary, good songs - and a fair variety - enjoyable listening, and best of all,
an engaging worship experience.
